Minocqua Brewing Co. Forced to Shut Down by Oneida County
Oneida County supervisors have revoked Minocqua Brewing Company's permit to do business and ordered the brewery to close. The owner, Kirk Bangstad, is appealing the decision to the county administrative committee. The permit was under scrutiny for multiple violations, including serving beer outdoors and not having a covered dumpster. Bangstad's goal of opening a beer garden on a plot of land he does not own and meeting the parking requirements has been a source of contention. Despite the ruling, Bangstad plans to continue operating the brewery.
