Sega Boss Reveals Challenges in Creating Mini Console for Sega Saturn
Sega President and COO Yukio Sugino has stated that creating a mini version of the Sega Saturn is proving to be challenging due to its high performance. Sugino believes that it will take some time before they can develop it alongside fans of the Sega Saturn and Dreamcast. Sega has previously considered producing mini versions of their classic consoles, but the cost of parts has been a hindrance. Sega has released two mini-consoles so far, the Mega Drive Mini and Mega Drive Mini 2, with the latter being chosen based on customer surveys.
