Thailand's Youth Demand Radical Change in Election.
Thailand's upcoming general election on Sunday sees a surge in support for the youth-led opposition party, Move Forward, which has adopted many of the demands made by student-led protests three years ago. The party's progressive campaign platform includes amending the criminal law that makes insulting the king punishable by up to 15 years in prison, re-writing the constitution to limit the power of the military, scraping military conscription, and replacing appointed provincial governors with elected ones. Move Forward has recently been polling at about 34%, indicating it is winning the support of not just the young.
