8BitDo has released a dongle called the Retro Receiver for PlayStation, which allows modern wireless controllers like the DualSense to be used with the PS1 and PS2 consoles. The dongle supports Bluetooth connectivity and also offers a USB-C port for wired connections. It is compatible with various controllers, including those from Nintendo and Xbox, and can also be used with Windows 10 and 11 PCs. The Retro Receiver is available for purchase at $24.99.

Powkiddy's Affordable Retro Gaming TV Stick with 4K HDMI and Two Controllers.

Powkiddy has introduced an HDMI dongle, the Y6 GameStick, that makes it easier to play retro games on a big screen. The dongle is powered by an Amlogic S905X2 processor with four ARM Cortex-A53 1.8 GHz cores and 1GB of RAM, and comes with 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded to up to 256GB through a microSD card slot. It runs on the Linux-based EmuELEC 4.3 operating system and promises up to 4K output. The Y6 GameStick is currently listed on AliExpress for $47 and comes with a pair of wireless 2.4GHz controllers.

8BitDo Controllers Now Compatible with Apple Devices for Retro Gaming

8BitDo's SN30 Pro, SN30 Pro for Android, SN30 Pro+, Pro 2, Ultimate 2.4G, and Lite SE wireless controllers are now compatible with Apple devices, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV, with the latest firmware update installed. Only six controllers are currently supported, but more compatibility is on the way. This allows owners of 8BitDo products to use them on even more devices, including Apple Arcade, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and Nvidia GeForce Now.
