Remembering the Legacy of Whitehaven High School's Beloved Band Director
Andre D Newsom, a beloved band director at Whitehaven High School, has passed away while on a band trip with his students in Atlanta. Newsom was a graduate of Tennessee State University, member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and an accomplished musician. The cause of death has not been released at this time. The Whitehaven High School community and Memphis-Shelby County Schools extend their condolences to his loved ones.
