"White House Teams Up with Major Sports Leagues to Promote Health and Wellness"
The Biden-Harris Administration has announced a historic partnership with major sports leagues and players associations to promote physical activity and nutrition programming across the country as part of the White House Challenge to End Hunger and Build Healthy Communities. Fourteen sports leagues and players associations have signed agreements with the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition to expand access to physical activity, integrate nutrition education, and promote healthy lifestyles. The partnership aims to address hunger, reduce diet-related diseases, and close disparities among impacted communities, with commitments from organizations like the NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA, WNBA, MLS, PGA Tour, NWSL, and players associations to promote healthy eating and physical activity through various initiatives and events.
