Introducing the Whisper Jet by Whisper Aero.

Whisper Aero has unveiled its Whisper Jet, a nine-passenger, hybrid-electric aircraft that showcases the company's proprietary electric ducted fans. The Whisper Jet has a max cruise speed of 250 knots, a projected battery-only range of 161–193 miles and a hybrid range of 432–464 miles. Whisper Aero's electric ducted fans achieve their low noise and high efficiency through the use of a very high blade count and tip shroud. The company aims to begin raising the profile of regional air mobility, a concept it believes has as much or more potential as urban air mobility.

Whisper Aero Aims to Quiet the World with Ultraquiet Electric Propulsion.

Whisper Aero, a propulsion startup, has raised $32 million in Series A funding to develop ultraquiet, ultraefficient electric ducted fans for electric aviation. The company is initially targeting U.S. Defense Department applications such as intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) uncrewed aircraft that are inaudible from the ground. Whisper Aero has validated its technology with flights of a custom-designed 55-lb. ISR drone powered by a single 10-lb.-thrust demonstrator propulsor. The startup's ambitions go far beyond powering small drones, to encompass air taxis and transonic aircraft and even consumer and industrial applications from leaf blowers to compressors.

Whisper Aero Develops Ultraquiet Electric Propulsion for Aviation and Defense.

Whisper Aero, a Tennessee-based startup, has developed an electric ducted fan that reduces noise and increases efficiency for various applications, including eVTOL aircraft and drones. The company has raised $32 million in a Series A funding round led by Menlo Ventures, EVE Atlas, Capricorn Investment Group, and Connor Capital. Whisper Aero has already secured contracts with the U.S. Department of Defense to validate its propulsor, which can make drones undetectable by noise at an altitude of 200 feet. The company plans to expand into commercial aviation, industrial, and consumer markets in the future.
