Westgate Vacation Villas Resorts in Central Florida canceled a fundraiser and book signing event featuring U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene after learning it was meant to commemorate the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. The resort stated they were unaware of the event's purpose when agreeing to host it. The event, organized by the Republican Party of Osceola County, offered various ticket options, including a private meeting with Greene. Greene, known for her support of former President Trump and for downplaying the Jan. 6 events, did not comment on the cancellation.
