"Steve Williams Makes History as First Democrat in West Virginia Governor's Race"
Steve Williams, the mayor of Huntington, has announced his candidacy for West Virginia governor, making him the first Democrat to enter the race. So far, seven Republicans have filed pre-candidacy papers, and Attorney General Patrick Morrisey has also announced his intention to run. If no other candidates enter the race, it would be the fewest number of Democrats running for governor in at least 75 years.
