"Enhanced Xbox Experience: Improved Apps and Web Games Await"
Microsoft is allowing Xbox app developers to use the Chromium-powered version of Edge, called WebView2, to improve their apps. This support enables developers to embed the latest web technologies inside Xbox apps, enhancing performance and allowing for the inclusion of HTML5 games. Streaming app STARZ is among the first to utilize WebView2, with more media apps and lightweight games expected to follow suit in the coming months.
