"Community demands transparency in Walgreens shooting investigation"
San Francisco Board of Supervisors passed a resolution calling on District Attorney Brooke Jenkins to release surveillance footage, witness statements, and police reports related to the Walgreens shooting of Banko Brown. Jenkins has refused to release the evidence, stating that it would compromise the ongoing investigation. The resolution was sought by Board President Aaron Peskin and was passed despite opposition from Jenkins ally, District 6 Supervisor Matt Dorsey. Two board members threatened to use subpoena powers to obtain the surveillance footage directly from Walgreens if Jenkins doesn't release it.
