John Gilliver, 62, has been jailed for one year and eight months for using secret recording devices, including sunglasses and a neck chain with built-in cameras, to take images on a beach and spy on acquaintances. A search of his home revealed further recording equipment and indecent images, including of children. He pleaded guilty to making indecent images of children, voyeurism, and possessing an indecent image. He was also issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

A former Royal Caribbean employee, Arvin Joseph Mirasol, has been arrested on federal charges of production and possession of child pornography and six counts of voyeurism in State Circuit Court in Broward County, Fla. He admitted to hiding cameras in guests' bathrooms and bedrooms, recording people, including a 10-year-old girl, and secretly filming since he started working on the ship in December 2023. The cruise line reported the allegations to law enforcement, fired Mr. Mirasol, and is cooperating with the authorities.

Justin Stoddard, a man from Greenville County, South Carolina, has been accused of sex trafficking minors and recording them for his "sexual desire," according to arrest warrants. Stoddard was first arrested on March 16 and charged with several sex charges. The new warrants say Stoddard sex trafficked a person under 18 years old in Greenville County and recorded minors for the purpose of arousing and gratifying sexual desire. Stoddard is also charged with four counts of voyeurism.
