Texas Company Identified as Source of AI-Generated Biden Robocalls, New Hampshire Attorney General Reveals
The New Hampshire attorney general has identified a Texas-based company, Life Corporation, as the source of robocalls impersonating President Biden's voice to discourage voting in the state's primary last month. The company, owned by Walter Monk, routed the calls through a provider called Lingo Telecom. The attorney general has initiated a criminal investigation, sent cease-and-desist letters, and issued subpoenas to both Life Corporation and Lingo Telecom, accusing them of violating New Hampshire law. The robocalls falsely claimed that voting in the primary would prevent people from casting a ballot in the general election.
