The delicate garment had to be cleaned and refit to Parker, and the feather headpiece was so fragile that a stunt-double blue bird was considered. The dress was resurrected when Carrie's Met Gala dress wasn't completed in time, and despite being her wedding dress from when her late husband left her at the altar, she wore it with a cape for one walk down her apartment steps.
