Pug Triumphs at 2024 National Dog Show, Stealing the Spotlight
Vito, a 2.5-year-old pug with sympathetic eyes and a muscly stature, won the best in show title at the 92nd annual National Dog Show, marking the first time in at least two decades a pug has claimed the top spot. Competing against about 2,000 other dogs, Vito triumphed over breeds like the Welsh terrier and giant schnauzer. The show, held at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, awards a $2,000 prize to the winning dog's owners.
