"Steve McMichael and Virginia McCaskey Among Semifinalists for Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024"
Virginia McCaskey, the owner of the Chicago Bears, and former Bears defensive tackle Steve McMichael have been named semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024. McCaskey, the daughter of team founder George S. Halas, has been nominated by the Coach/Contributor Committee, while McMichael has been nominated by the Seniors Committee. The committees will narrow down the list of semifinalists and announce the finalists in July and August. McMichael, who played 15 years in the NFL, spent the majority of his career with the Bears and was a key part of their successful defenses, including the 1985 Super Bowl-winning team.
