The late Bengals legend Ken Riley's enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame was an emotional moment as his family received his Gold Jacket during the ceremony. For the first time, the Hall gave Gold Jackets to posthumous inductees, and it was also the first time a new Hall-of-Famer was given his jacket by a Hall-of-Famer of his choice. Virginia McCaskey, the owner of the Chicago Bears, and former Bears defensive tackle Steve McMichael have been named semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024. McCaskey, the daughter of team founder George S. Halas, has been nominated by the Coach/Contributor Committee, while McMichael has been nominated by the Seniors Committee. The committees will narrow down the list of semifinalists and announce the finalists in July and August. McMichael, who played 15 years in the NFL, spent the majority of his career with the Bears and was a key part of their successful defenses, including the 1985 Super Bowl-winning team.
