Ukrainian Security Service Defector Injured in Moscow Car Bombing
A former Ukrainian Security Service officer, Vasily Prozorov, living in Moscow, was reportedly hospitalized after his Toyota Land Cruiser exploded in northern Moscow, with the blast believed to have been caused by an unidentified device under the vehicle. The Russian Investigative Committee has launched a criminal case, investigating the incident as an assassination attempt. Prozorov had previously accused Ukrainian authorities of being responsible for the downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 in 2014 and had collaborated with Russia "for ideological reasons."
