
Homeless New Orleans Teen Graduates as Valedictorian
Elijah Hogan, who lived in a homeless shelter for over a year, graduated as one of two valedictorians at Walter L. Cohen charter high school in New Orleans with a 3.93 GPA. Despite facing significant hardships, including the loss of his mother at a young age, Hogan plans to attend Xavier University of Louisiana to study graphic design. He credits his success to the support of his community and emphasizes the importance of education in overcoming adversity.
