"Active-Duty Air Force Officer Crowned 2024 Miss America"
Second Lt. Madison Marsh, an officer in the U.S. Air Force, made history by becoming the first active-duty service member to win the Miss America pageant. Representing Colorado, she graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy with a degree in physics and has been actively involved in raising awareness and funds for pancreatic cancer research. Marsh, who started competing in pageants while at the academy, is now pursuing a master's degree in public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School.
