Arrest Made in Missouri for 2020 Murder of Pregnant Sauk Co. Woman

The suspect in the 2020 killing of a pregnant woman in Sauk County, Wisconsin, has been captured in Gladstone, Missouri, following a traffic stop. Jose Eduardo Dominguez Garcia was arrested after a stolen license plate was detected by an automated license plate reader. He was charged with first-degree intentional homicide, including the death of Rosaly "Cindy" Chavarria Rodriguez and her unborn child, as well as hiding a corpse. Rodriguez's remains were found in a suitcase on an abandoned farm in October 2020, and it took a year to positively identify her using DNA profiles. Dominguez Garcia is currently in custody in Clay County jail.
