Blizzard Fixes 15-Year-Old WoW Classic Bug.
A typo in the spell script of the Legendary healing mace Val'anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings, in World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic made its special effect stronger than intended for 14 years. The shield granted by the weapon was supposed to cap out at 20,000, but an extra "0" in the script made that amount 200,000. The bug went unnoticed due to the fact that only a few players ever acquired the weapon, but with more players using it now, the bug was finally caught and fixed in a recent hotfix.
