Congress leader Siddaramaiah and Foreign Minister S Jaishankar engaged in a Twitter war over the alleged government inaction in bringing back 31 tribals from Karnataka who are stuck in crisis-hit Sudan. While Siddaramaiah accused the government of not initiating action, Jaishankar called it grossly irresponsible to politicize the situation. The Indian Embassy in Sudan issued a precautionary advisory for Indian citizens against venturing out, suggesting to ration supplies as the "situation may continue for a few more days."
