Twin Cities Pride Festival marks 51st year amidst LGBTQ rights rollbacks.
The 51st Twin Cities Pride Festival in Loring Park, Minnesota, has expanded into the Sculpture Garden for the first time, with up to 600,000 people expected to attend. The festival's Executive Director, Andi Otto, said the event includes all LGBTQ members, "every part of the spectrum". The festival comes at a pivotal time for the LGBTQ community in Minnesota, with the state recently becoming a trans refuge state, protecting transgender people, their families and healthcare providers from legal repercussions if they travel there to get gender-affirming care.
