Firefly Enters Animated Revival With Original Cast In Tow
Nathan Fillion revealed at Awesome Con that an animated Firefly series is in advanced development, with the original cast expected to reprise their roles (including Tudyk, Torres, Staite, Baccarin, Maher, Glau, and Baldwin). The project is produced by Collision33 in partnership with 20th Television Animation, with showrunners Marc Guggenheim and Tara Butters; Joss Whedon is not involved but has given his blessing. Set between the 2002 series and Serenity, early concept art from ShadowMachine accompanies a package that will be shopped to buyers.
