Micron to add second Taiwan chip fab at Tongluo site to boost AI-ready memory
Micron Technology said it will build a second manufacturing facility in Taiwan at the Tongluo site it recently acquired from Powerchip Semiconductor to expand supply of DRAM and high-bandwidth memory (HBM) for surging AI demand. The new fab would be similar in scale to its Miaoli County plant, with construction slated to start by the end of fiscal 2026.
