Martina Navratilova declares cancer-free status and returns to TV work.
Tennis legend Martina Navratilova returned to TV work for Tennis Channel's coverage of the Miami Open, less than three months after announcing she had throat and breast cancer. Navratilova said she has been told by doctors that she is cancer-free, but will undergo additional radiation treatment. She lost 15 pounds during her treatment and her sense of taste disappeared. Navratilova won 18 Grand Slam singles titles and 59 Grand Slam titles overall.
