Massive Power Outage Hits Southwest Side, Affecting Thousands of TEP Customers
A thunderstorm in Tucson, Arizona, has caused power outages for thousands of Tucson Electric Power (TEP) customers on the southwest side. Spokesman Joseph Barrios confirmed that most of the outages are due to the storm, with around 4,000 customers currently without power. The storm, which brought gusts of up to 60 MPH, also caused damage to power lines, poles, and homes, as well as potential gas leaks. Authorities are urging caution while driving in affected areas with non-functioning traffic signals.
