Tron plans to go public in the U.S. through a reverse merger with Nasdaq-listed SRM Entertainment, with Justin Sun's firm to hold TRX tokens, and involvement from the Trump-affiliated investment firm Dominari Securities, reflecting a growing trend of crypto firms going public.
As market volatility returns and large-cap tokens lose momentum, Cardano (ADA) and Tron (TRX) are emerging as leading candidates for an altcoin rally, supported by bullish on-chain signals, strong developer activity, and increased transaction volume, making them attractive for traders seeking upside potential in the current market rotation.
As Bitcoin begins a bullish run, investors are considering altcoins like TRON (TRX), PEPE, and Avalanche (AVAX) for potential gains in 2025. TRX is seen as a low-risk, high-reward option due to its fast and cost-effective blockchain. PEPE, a popular memecoin, could see significant gains similar to Shiba Inu's past performance. AVAX, despite being shy in the current cycle, offers high throughput and low costs, making it a promising buy, especially as it remains far from its all-time high.
Binance.US has delisted Tron's TRX token, causing a 6.4% drop in its value. The move comes after the SEC sued Tron's Justin Sun over allegations of selling and airdropping unregistered securities, fraud, and market manipulation involving the TRX token. Binance.US says trading for TRX will end on April 18. Tron is in communication with Binance.US over the matter but has no further comment at this time.
The SEC has filed civil charges against Tron founder Justin Sun and eight celebrities, including Lindsay Lohan, Jake Paul, and Soulja Boy, for market manipulation and the unregistered offer and sale of securities by dealing with his crypto assets TRX and BTT. The celebrities who touted the coin are being charged with not disclosing that they were being paid to do so and how much money they got. Sun held unregistered “bounty programs” that would ask users to promote BTT and TRX on social media, as well as encouraged users to recruit others to its Discord and Telegram channels.
