Former advisers to Donald Trump and Ben Carson, Barry Bennett and Douglas Watts, have confessed to illegal lobbying activities for Qatar and lying to the Justice Department. They were involved in running advocacy groups that promoted Qatari interests without proper registration. They have entered a deferred prosecution agreement, which includes fines and will result in the dismissal of charges after a year of adherence to the agreement's terms.
