Manhunt underway for suspect after trooper shooting; vehicle recovered

Police have recovered the white Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Scott Arthur O'Brien, the suspect wanted in the shooting of a female trooper during a traffic stop in Raleigh County, West Virginia. The trooper was shot in the elbow and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. O'Brien fled the scene and is still at large. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact 911 or the West Virginia State Police.

Driver charged in shooting of New York trooper and robbery.

The driver involved in the New York State Trooper shooting during a traffic stop has been identified as Alicia G. Eriole, who has been charged with robbery, criminal possession of a weapon, and remanded to the Schenectady County Correctional Facility. The shooter, Nelson Troche, was found suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The trooper was treated at a hospital and released. Pennsylvania State Trooper Killed in Intense Gunfight Identified.

Tragedy Strikes Pennsylvania State Troopers in Manhunt Shootout

Two Pennsylvania state troopers were shot in the line of duty on Saturday in Juniata County. Trooper Jacques F. Rougeau Jr. succumbed to his injuries, and Lt. James A. Wagner was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Brandon Stine, of Thompsontown, shot Lt. James A. Wagner and was later located in the area of Swamp Road and Baumgardner Drive in Walker Township, Juniata County, where he and Trooper Rougeau Jr. were both killed in a gunfight with troopers.
