Trappers Rescue Alligator with Missing Upper Jaw in Florida
Trappers have reportedly rescued an alligator in Sanford, Florida, that was missing half of its upper jaw. The alligator was believed to have been injured by a snare trap in a failed poaching attempt. The environmental nonprofit Bear Warriors United caught the gator and plans to take it to a care facility. They are also working to get the traps banned in Florida. Confirmation of the capture is pending from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
