Multiple Crashes and Closures on I-70 Cause Chaos Amid Snowstorm in Colorado
A snowstorm in Colorado caused extensive traffic impacts on Interstate 70, with multiple crashes and spinouts leading to closures on both the westbound and eastbound lanes. A six-car and semi crash closed I-70 westbound at Ward Road, while I-70 eastbound was closed between Hidden Valley and Floyd Hill due to multiple spinouts and a commercial vehicle losing its trailer. Detouring on U.S. 40 was not advised, as vehicles were also stuck there. The snowstorm, which started in the mountains, brought several inches of snow to the area.
