The network also offers security features to prevent misuse, such as unwanted tracker alerts and limiting the frequency of location updates. Additionally, Google is expanding the network's capabilities to include locating headphones and providing proximity information through Nest hubs. The rollout begins in the US and Canada before expanding globally to Android devices running version 9 or later.
