Stephen Sondheim's Last Musical 'Here We Are' to Debut Off-Broadway This Fall.

Stephen Sondheim's Last Musical "Here We Are" to Premiere in New York This Fall.

Stephen Sondheim's long-awaited Luis Buñuel musical, titled "Here We Are," will be staged in New York this fall at The Shed. The musical is inspired by two Buñuel films and features music and lyrics by Sondheim, a book by David Ives, and direction by Joe Mantello. The show will be a commercial Off Broadway venture produced by Tom Kirdahy and is scheduled to begin performances in September. Sondheim described the show as incomplete, and it is not clear what state it was in when he died.
