Former MLB Star Mark Teixeira Wins TX-21 GOP Nomination
Former MLB star Mark Teixeira won a wide-open GOP primary in Texas' 21st District with about 61.6% in a 12-candidate field to replace Chip Roy and will face Democrat Kristin Hook in November. Teixeira self-funded his bid and promotes conservative priorities, while redistricting makes TX-21 more San Antonio–centric and Roy did not endorse a successor.
