The bullet appeared to come from an altercation in a nearby neighborhood, according to the Texarkana police. The player was stable and undergoing surgery at Christus St. Michael Hospital. The game was declared "no contest," and a pair of softball games were canceled due to the events surrounding the baseball game. The police are investigating the incident.
