Texas College Baseball Player Injured by Stray Bullet During Game

An 18-year-old college baseball player for Texas A&M-Texarkana was hit by a stray bullet during a game against the University of Houston-Victoria at George Dobson Field at Spring Lake Park in Texarkana. The bullet appeared to come from an altercation in a nearby neighborhood. The player was stable after going into surgery and the police are investigating the incident. The game was declared "no contest" and a pair of softball games were canceled due to the events surrounding the baseball game.
