While businesses in the area appreciate the temporary relief, concerns remain about what will happen to the homeless population once the conference concludes. The city's Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing stated that dedicated outreach efforts were focused on the conference vicinity, and they opened additional winter shelter capacity, adding 300 beds to the system.

Sunday Streets in Tenderloin: A Haven of Freebies and Positivity.

Free snacks, books, portraits, and tote bags were available, along with a dunk tank and entertainment. The event showcased the neighborhood's positive behavior and community engagement, with hopes to make the temporary Slow Street closure permanent and turn it into a Golden Gate Greenway. The event was co-sponsored by the Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center and is part of the free summer festival series.
