Michigan Braces for Snow, Strong Winds, and Plummeting Temperatures
A strong cold front has brought winter weather conditions to Michigan, with plunging temperatures, strong wind gusts, and lake-effect snow expected across the state. Southern Michigan will see temperatures in the 20s, while the Upper Peninsula will experience single-digit temperatures. A wind advisory is in place for the eastern two-thirds of Lower Michigan, with gusts up to 45 mph. Snowfall accumulations of 3 to 6 inches are expected in northwest Lower Michigan, with up to one foot in the Upper Peninsula. After a brief return to winter, Michigan is set to experience a robust warm-up, with temperatures reaching the 60s and even flirting with 70 degrees by Sunday.
