Kobuko is a tanky Yordle designed to grow in size as players accumulate interest, becoming a "chonky lad" by stage four. The decision to create a new unit stemmed from the need for a unique Fortune tank unit, distinct from existing League champions. Riot Games is launching a new Teamfight Tactics Lunar Festival in January, featuring the return of Set 3.5 Galaxies as the first Set Revival for the Year of the Dragon. The popular set, known for its Chibi Champions, will be available on Jan. 24 through Patch 14.2 for both PC and mobile, with PBE starting on Jan. 11.
Teamfight Tactics' 10th set, Remix Rumble, is set to be released on November 21, 2023. The new set features music-inspired traits such as K/DA, True Damage, Pentakill, HEARTSTEEL, Disconauts, Big Sad, Country, Glitterbomb, Superfans, and Freeflow. The set also introduces portals, removes Legends, and includes the return of the Chosen mechanic with Headliners. The music in Set 10 reflects the team composition, adding different motifs and instruments as players build their army.
Soul Fighter, a six-week event, is taking over the world of Runeterra with new game modes, skins, champions, and more coming to League of Legends, Wild Rift, Teamfight Tactics, and Legends of Runeterra. The event introduces a new game mode, champion, and skins in League of Legends, a new game mode and event pass in Teamfight Tactics, and new skins, emotes, and cardbacks in Legends of Runeterra. The event also features an original story set within the world of Soul Fighter, told through the eyes of Draven and Yasuo as they battle in the Tournament of Souls and venture into the Lands Beyond.
Riot Games has announced a new game mode called Arena for League of Legends, which will be part of the upcoming Soul Fighter event. The mode will feature four teams of two players each fighting one another in rotating combat rounds, with the ability to power up characters after each round using unique Augments. The event will also include new modes for Teamfight Tactics and Wild Rift, as well as new skins and cosmetics for all games in the League of Legends universe.
