Confusion as Minnesota tax rebate checks arrive from Montana
Minnesota tax rebate checks are being mailed from a vendor based in Montana, causing confusion for recipients who may mistake them for junk mail. The checks are legitimate and are being distributed by Submittable Holdings, a software company partnered with the Minnesota Department of Revenue. The state is also working with U.S. Bank for distribution. The rebate payments range from $260 to $1,300, depending on income and dependents. Recipients who did not receive direct deposit will receive checks mailed to the addresses provided on their 2021 tax returns. Those who believe they are eligible for a rebate but have not received payment by the end of September should contact the Department of Revenue.
