Takata Airbag Recall: Fatal Incident Prompts Urgent 'No Drive' Warning for 2003 Dodge Ram Owners
Owners of 2003 Dodge Ram pickup trucks are being advised to stop driving their vehicles after a passenger was killed by an exploding Takata airbag, marking the first fatality related to an exploding passenger-side airbag inflator. This brings the total number of U.S. fatalities linked to Takata airbag explosions to 26. Stellantis, the parent company of Dodge, has issued a "No Drive" order for the affected trucks and urges owners to get their airbags replaced. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates that around 84,000 of these Dodge Ram trucks have not been repaired, posing a risk of serious injury or death to drivers and passengers.
