
Armed Suspect in Tactical Gear Detained Outside Capitol Ahead of State of the Union
An 18-year-old man, Carter Camacho of Smyrna, Georgia, was arrested outside the U.S. Capitol after rushing toward the building with a loaded shotgun while wearing a tactical vest and gloves; he complied with officers’ commands to drop the weapon and was taken into custody. He faces charges including unlawful activities, carrying a rifle without a license, and unregistered firearm and ammunition.
