"Diablo Expands Universe with Official Board Game and TTRPG"

Blizzard has announced a Diablo tabletop role-playing game in partnership with Glass Cannon Unplugged and Genuine Entertainment. The game, set in the world of Sanctuary, will debut at BlizzCon 2024 and will be available for purchase in Fall 2024 following a Kickstarter campaign. It is described as a companion to Diablo: The Board Game and will feature interchangeable components and shared accessories. Netflix is facing a breach of contract lawsuit filed by Evil Genius Games, a company that was developing a tabletop role-playing game based on Zack Snyder's upcoming sci-fi films, "Rebel Moon." Evil Genius alleges that Netflix terminated the deal earlier this year, claiming a violation of a confidentiality agreement. The lawsuit seeks unspecified monetary damages. Evil Genius had invested significant resources in creating the game, including producing a World Bible and Player's Guide. Netflix has declined to comment on the lawsuit.

D&D faces printing and pricing challenges for upcoming books.

Wizards of the Coast plans to release revised versions of the Player’s Handbook, Dungeon Master’s Guide, and Monster Manual in 2024 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons. However, the company is struggling to find a printing partner to handle the massive print runs for all three books at the same time. The staggered release is being considered, but the existing 2014 editions will still be compatible with the game. Wizards has also been expanding into the digital space, but it's too soon to say if the revised books will have digital pre-release copies.
