To unlock it, follow the main storyline, visit Blueberry Academy, catch an Alolan form Pokemon, and speak to Synclaire in the Central Plaza. Once unlocked, use the L and R buttons to control the lead Pokemon in your party, move with the left stick, attack with the Y button, and stop synching by pressing L+R together. The Synchro Machine can also be used with up to four players.
