Fatal Crashes and Super Fog Plague Louisiana's I-10 Near New Orleans
A "superfog" event caused by a combination of wildfire smoke and heavy fog resulted in multiple accidents, including one fatality, on Interstate-10 near New Orleans. The near-zero visibility conditions overwhelmed drivers, leading to the closure of sections of the highway. This is the second such incident in two weeks, highlighting the increased risk due to extreme drought and wildfire conditions in the region.
