Phison has issued a statement denying the circulation of falsified documents claiming their controllers are prone to a Windows 11 SSD bug, clarifying that the documents are fake and that the issue affects multiple vendors and storage types, not just Phison. The company is working with Microsoft to address the problem and is investigating the false claims, which may be an attempt by competitors to create panic.
Kioxia has unveiled its CD8P SSD drives for data centers, offering high storage capacity of up to 30.72 TB and high sequential read performance of up to 12,000 MB/s. The single-port drives are designed for hyperscale data centers and come in E3.S and U.2 form factors. They feature enterprise-grade features and are available in two versions: CD8P-V for mixed-use applications and CD8P-R for read-intensive workloads. The CD8P SSDs are positioned for a broad range of scale-out and cloud workloads, as well as AI-oriented workloads. Shipping dates have not been announced yet.
