Jaeger surges into contention as Rose widens Farmers lead on moving day
Justin Rose stretched his Farmers Insurance Open lead on moving day at Torrey Pines as the South Course played firm and windless, widening his gap into the low-20s. Stephan Jaeger shot a bogey-free 65 to climb to 11 under and sit in a tie for fifth, while Brooks Koepka snapped back with three straight birdies and Keith Mitchell opened the third round hot to reach 8 under. Power and Dahmen remained within striking distance as the field chased a rare low-score day on a course that yielded relatively muted scoring.
