Waymo Becomes Stanford Athletics’ Official On-Campus Autonomous Ride-Hailing Partner
Stanford Athletics and Waymo announced a first-of-its-kind partnership making Waymo the official autonomous ride-hailing partner for Stanford, with Waymo’s driverless service rolling out on campus for events at the Oval and Museum Way and limited routes on non-event days to the Oval and Stanford Visitor Center; two additional stops at Escondido Village and the Visitor Center were added, and the Museum Way location operates five hours before and two hours after large events. Riders can plan with the Waymo app or Stanford’s searchable map and provide feedback via QR codes as the program is evaluated for mobility and accessibility improvements across campus, supported by Elevate.”,
